MERTER KARDEŞLER SHOWROOM PROJECT

We believe that a strong showroom in the textile industry should go beyond displaying collections and become an experiential space that makes the brand’s heritage, work culture and approach to service visible. At CASTAMO, we reinterpreted the identity of Merter Kardeşler Tekstil, which dates back to 1985, through contemporary lines, warm materials and functional solutions.

A Strong Façade Befitting a Well-Established Brand Identity

We approached the exterior façade of the Merter Kardeşler Tekstil project with a refined and confident composition that conveys the brand’s strong heritage at first glance. Through natural stone-effect surfaces, dark façade frames and warm metallic tones, we highlighted the balanced geometry of the two-storey display frontage. We positioned the “Kardeşler Kumaş” and “1985” accents not merely as signage, but as an architectural signature that makes the brand’s corporate legacy visible. With warm light flowing through the wide openings, we preserved the showroom’s inviting character even in the nighttime view.

A Presentation Concept Centered on Fabric

In a textile showroom, we considered the orderly, accessible presentation of product variety under the right lighting to be one of the fundamental requirements of the design. Accordingly, we organized the fabric collections within custom-made metal display systems integrated into the wall surfaces. By clearly separating different color and texture options with illuminated frames, we created a visual rhythm throughout the space. We increased the collection capacity with floor-to-ceiling display surfaces, while open circulation areas provided a spacious experience despite the dense product presentation.

Balancing Comfort and Prestige in Meeting Areas

We designed the meeting areas at the center of the showroom to create a functional working environment for product selection and client communication. With its rounded corners, dark glass surface and brass frame, the large table became one of the space’s prominent focal points. In the sculptural chairs developed specifically for the project, we combined an ergonomic seating structure with soft forms. In this way, we created a comfortable, organized and professional meeting environment for extended collection reviews and sample evaluations.

An Architectural Language Ensuring Continuity Between Floors

In the showroom spread across two floors, we planned the lower and upper levels not as disconnected volumes, but as a continuation of the same design language. Thanks to the staircase emphasized with warm metal details and the transparent railings, we established a fluid connection between the floors without interrupting the line of sight. By carrying the reflection of the fabrics displayed on the upper floor down to the lower level through reflective ceiling surfaces, we added an unexpected sense of depth to the space. By addressing the curved ceiling lines and the rounded forms of the furniture within the same design language, we created a cohesive identity throughout the showroom.

The Balanced Harmony of Wood, Stainless Steel and Natural Stone

We defined the project’s material palette to create a warm and balanced backdrop that does not compete with the rich colors of the textile collections, but instead brings the products to the forefront.

While reinforcing the brand’s deep-rooted character with dark walnut-toned wood surfaces, we introduced a modern and measured sheen through stainless-steel details. We defined the light-toned natural stone flooring with black veining and borders to emphasize the circulation routes. Through this balanced contrast, we created a strong and timeless atmosphere while allowing each material to express its own character clearly.

A Textile Project in Merter That Embodies Corporate Identity

In the Merter Kardeşler Tekstil project, we brought together the heritage of a well-established brand with contemporary showroom expectations and user-oriented working scenarios within a single space. Through a presentation layout centered on the fabric collections, a strong façade language, comfortable meeting areas and bespoke details developed specifically for the project, we ensured that the brand identity was reflected not only in the logo but throughout the entire space.

At CASTAMO, we do more than simply decorate projects; we transform the way brands operate, their products and their stories into spatial experiences. We brought the Merter Kardeşler Tekstil project to life as one of the strong and timeless expressions of this holistic approach within the textile industry.
